WHY?

The moisture in the buildings has caused the growth of mold which is unhealthy for the students.  The district has spent large sums of money repairing the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems as well as patching the roofs without success.

WHAT WILL IT BUY?

  • New Roofs at Thomas Richards and Waterford Elementary Schools
  • New Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning at all three schools
  • New Vinyl Tile to replace classroom carpeting
  • New polyurethane floor to replace the gymnasium carpet at Waterford Elementary School
  • New well at Waterford Elementary
  • Various other health,safety and security purchases

HOW MUCH WLL IT COST?

The total issue will cost $9.25 million and will be paid over 20 years.  For the average home in Waterford, assessed at $115,100, It will cost less than $15 per month.
