Camden County to Suspend Seasonal Flu Shots Schedule Until More Vaccine Arrives

For Immediate Release: October 16, 2009

Camden County is suspending its schedule for free flu shots for Seasonal Flu beginning Monday, October 19, pending delivery of more Seasonal Flu vaccine.

The existing flu shot schedule through November 13 will be replaced by an updated and revised schedule when more vaccine arrives, and the County is able to resume its Seasonal Flu shot vaccinations.

The new schedule will be posted on camdencoutny.com and provided to local media outlets, including newspapers and TV stations.

In the meantime, those needing flu shots should contact their private physicians or one of the retail outlets, such as CVS and Walgreen’s, that have Seasonal Flu shot programs. Call in advance for availability.

If you have other questions, call the Camden County Department of Health and Human Services at 1-800-999-9045.

The shots will be available at the Atco Elementary School on Saturday October 3rd from 10:00am to 12 noon. The shots will also be available at other locations throughout the county on various dates and you can check the Camden County Immunization Schedule for more information.
